I voted content. To fap or not to fap...that's somewhat relevant. If it was purely for the story, there's a lot of non-H anime out there that I haven't seen all of that better use of storyline than the majority of H-Anime. Granted, I've seen non-H anime that had much weaker stories and elements than ero media, but when I'm looking only at h-anime, it's a mixture of story content, aesthetic, visual quality, and whatever the heck is peaking my interest at the time. ^_^

It has to be pleasing to my eyes else I won't even consider it, even if the story is good if my eyes dislikes what they see then it become pointless as an hentai anime. I need something that looks good first then after I'll check what I consider as lesser important detail such as the background story behind the sex scene. Although I won't deny a well made storyline really increase the quality of the hentai anime.

I don't really care if it is a well known artist or completely nobody.

Most of the stories don't make too much sense and they not supposed to.

The talent of the artist or a studio. The beauty of the drawn pictures.

Very close second is the story.
It melts my heart away the romantic undertones of the 2 opposite sex make love to each other because they love each other. Not to mention what motives the rapist, or what's it's tentacles are for(other than rape), and why those 3-4 chicks are fighting for one guy, or why is the girl keep on stalking on the guy. XD

I'm probably a bit of a rarity in that I look for more than just the fap art.
It's nice every once in a while when you run across an involved plot that has you doing more than just making reactionary decisions. I like a challenge to my wits while I'm fappping off.
