It's pretty simple. What is your current status on donating, and please explain your answer in a reply if you don't mind.

I myself am going to have to go with 'I want to donate in the future.'. This is because I am a student and I am from South Africa. I do feel that once I make a steady income, I would want to donate to many sites that I am a part of, Hshare being one of them. Honestly, I am not even as into hentai as a lot of people here, but I understand the effort that the people who manage the site put in. And doing that, with MANY people taking advantage of it, I feel I should give something. Besides, I've used the site very often since I started out here.

So yeah. Hopefully in the future I will donate on a frequent basis, if only 5$ (which translates to more for me here in South Africa) every now and then.

If you choose 'I will never donate.', I would like to know why? And I would like to know what the site, or any site for that matter, could do or change to make you reconsider your position.

Where do you stand and what are your feelings? Lets be honest.

I used to give money to beggars "for food". Then I found myself without money. So I made it a policy not to give away money. At all. I can help in many other ways.

Altough if I had a salary and steady income I would consider donating to hshare (and only to hshare).

But I don't much like the idea of being compared to drug addicted, lazy, beggars... we work hard everyday, I myself often put in well over ten hours of work on the sites daily and we don't force people to pay anything nor do we have restrictions on anything we offer, not even on requests. Guests can post and download and view all they want as well as make requests, no need to even sign up. Yet it seems like we are taken for granted for the most part, especially when we are constantly having to take from our very tight budget to pay the site bills.

Yeah this is a touchy subject and I don't like being compared to a lazy beggar who wont even try to help themselves and who are only burdens to society; not contributing anything to anyone.

EDIT I just wanted to say sorry if it sounded like I was attacking you. You know I consider you a friend DV, so I have to admit it hurts to be compared to a beggar especially by you, even if it was indirectly. Anyway, that's all I wanted to say.

I apologize too. I could have found a better comparison. What I meant is that there are a lot of sites out there (like a lot of beggars on the streets of Hungary). I'd donate to all of them but I can't do that and I can't schoose one or two, this is how I am. Another aspect I wanted to emphasize is that I like to help others. I would help everyone if I could. This is why I'll become a doctor.

Again, I meant no offense and I don't think that you and DM are in any way similar to beggars. You do a great job here and don't expect anything in return. This is my favourite site on the net and you are the best site owners I know. I too consider you a friend. I'll choose my words more carefully next time.

There are lots of homeless people/beggars/scamers around here too. I would love to help those who truly are in need but it's hard to separate them from the undeserving, too many people out there looking to pray on the good nature of others. I try to give out food instead, at least that way I know my generosity will go to good and not to any of their bad habits.

I understand times are tough and money is tight for most people and I don't want anyone to think I am forcing them to donate. Although it's hard not to feel taken for granted when we have so many people that come to our site and download our releases yet so very few donations (most people don't even participate in discussions on the board and I would so love it if they took a little time to do so, it's free and it would mean so much to me). I wish people would understand that if enough people chipped in just a few dollars even they would make all the difference to the site. I don't blame anyone and I certainly am not demanding any donations. Just saying it would be nice if more people considered sending a few bucks our way, A dollar isn't much to one person but if enough people donate a dollar it starts to add up.

By the way DV, being as caring as you are I know your going to make a great doctor . And thanks for saying that you think hshare is your favorite site online, you make me blush.
Honestly there is so much more I wish I could do with it but I am only one person and my time is already stretched so thin but I hope that along with DeathMarine's help that we will be able to keep improving it little by little.

Is there any point to donating one buck? I heard a lot of controversal things about PayPal. Could you clarify this?

Well actually we mostly get one to five dollar donations so I am not sure what controversy your talking about, sorry. I know they keep a small percentage and there are exchange rates to keep in mind but if you do the math before hand then it shouldn't be an issue.

For me the exchange rates are not the problem. Or even the small percentage they keep. I just had a few bad experiences with them. So I don't thrust them with my money. I really like to donate but just not through Paypal. If there is any other way please let me know.

I have donated in the past and I plan to donate more in the future. Deathmarine And Dizzy have been doing all of us a great service with little or no gratitude to show for it. I only wish I could donate the huge amount they deserve.

I guess Hshare gives me the best site for dl free hentai so i guess donating wont hurt... ill do it next year though since this coming december i dont think ill have enough money >.< so many to spend like firecrackers.... foods and etc. But More Power to Hshare!

@Dizzy, I wouldn't feel bad for slightly hinting at donating, especially after you mentioned how little donations the site receives. I was actually quite surprised, because the site does function and do as well as it does.

Like I said, even though I do not use the site as much as some other members, I would love to donate in the future. For now, I do try my best at keeping active with posting, as well as seeding most of the torrents I use for as long as possible (keeping in mind that our country's internet speeds and services are rather lacklustre). I feel this way about most sites I frequently use.

What are these issues with PayPal that people are talking about, though?

i belive hes reffering to the fact that paypal doesnt like porn sites, and its against there TOS, but since its not a membership and is a donation to a person and not a subscription payment i dont think there are any problems


i voted other, because i dont "donate" like a normal person would, instead i send em hardware and such to help them out =3 (like the nas box's ill be sending once i finally finish off the server =3 )
