there are common cliches on hentai animation, games and manga characters, to name a few: loli school girl, tomboy girl, childhood friend, shy girl with glasses, cow girl, she-male, maid, demoness, typical schoolgirl, elf girl, etc.

There is a type of character that seems really exciting to japanese and is the newlywed wife. I don't really understand what is so exciting about this type of character, its because she cheats on her husband or maybe because you expect her to be inexperienced about sex (that's a silly though because we see really experienced girls on hentai videos and they are just in high school)

what are your thoughts about it.

i never watch for the story. i just skipped to the "good parts" and blow my load. I only notice animation quality. If the animation quality is bad than i just jerk to something else.

i only pay attention to the story if it's ecchi or non-h anime

perhaps it's the unattainable/unavailable that attracts them? The sport of taking what is someone else's and tarring apart two newly weds fresh in love and so on. Not sure though, I'd love to hear what others think

Okay this one I think you have to look at it from the point of view of someone like me. Lonely, not too popular with the ladies, never had a girl- well you get the point. The prospect of having a Woman who is devoted to me and will fulfill my every sexual desire is a potent one. Add in the fact she's" yours" furthers this fact. Now I personally would NOT like the idea of my newlywed wife getting it on with others, however it doesn't take too much to understand the appeal (at least for the viewer) of this happening. So to sum it up, imo the newlywed genre is targeted to those of a like mind with me who would love to have the "newlywed experience".

im gonna guess on the physical level its the feeling of defiling something pure and just having your way with a woman who is innocent, i often see references to girls "not being able to marry" because they have had their chastity compromised in some way which leads me to believe japanese may view it as a more pure ritual than we do in the west, even if the concept is only based in anime as im sure we all know many concepts in anime are exaggerated otaku views. emotionally it signifies commitment of love and devotion, also things the common otaku craves. therefore i see it as a fetish that reflects alot of insecurity and really tries to invoke a feeling of accepted masculinity in viewer, a feeling il bet few otaku have ever experienced.
