How To Switch To "Japanese Mode" (Japanese Language)

Switching to Japanese Mode (Japanese Language Setting) In Windows 7

- Click 'Start' then 'Control Panel'.

- Click on 'Clock, Language, and Region'.

- Now click on 'Region and Language'.

- A new window will open. Click on the 'Administrative' tab then click the 'Change system locale' button.

- From the drop down list select 'Japanese (Japan)' and click 'OK'.

- A message will pop up. Click 'Restart now' and you're done.

That's a misbelief. You need Ultimate to get the language pack for the User Interface (or display language as it is officially referred to). You don't need the Ultimate edition to be able to switch locales.

Btw, that's how I was able to switch from Hungarian to English while making the tutorial. ^__^

So would I still be able to operate my os using english language if I do this?

Possibly. However the part of you that comes up with smart ass comments should remain unchanged. :P

On a more serious note, this is a very valuable post. If only more people would actually read posts like this i'm pretty sure it would cut help requests by a good margin. Good post.

When you switch to Japanese mode, all the backslashes are changed to Yen symbols. That's one and (as far as I know) the only side-effect of switching locales.
